Review: Revlon ColorStay Mineral Mousse.

Foundations work differently for everyone.
It all depends on your skin type.

This is my personal opinion about the foundation and it was purchased with my own money.

For reference I have oily skin with acne scarring.

If no further questions.... on to the review <3

Revlon ColorStay Mineral Mousse #090

Pros:

  • SPF 20
  • Easy to blend
  • Medium to Full Coverage
  • Coverage is buidable
  • Matte Finish
  • No white cast in pictures (personally)

When you squeeze the foundation out the product is released as seen above.
The foundation is in a tube and you have to squeeze the product out.
The consistency is soft and most definitely a mousse.
This foundation is not a cream.

Here the foundation is blended into the back of my hand.
As you can see this foundation color matches me perfectly.
I like to blend this foundation with my finger tips since it is easy to blend and you can get in hard to reach areas, such as around the nose, with your finger rather then a brush.

Con:
I bought this shade to fit my summer tan skin, this color suits me now and I am still at my winter color.

For reference I am an NC43 in M.A.C. and Revlon ColorStay Foundation 360 Golden Caramel.

Cons:
  • Shade shown in tube darker then when applied on skin
  • Thus making it hard to color match
  • Stay power is about 8hrs
  • Not a wide variety of shades to fit skin tones

Overall:

I love this foundation.

I've been using it for about a month.

I've been outside in the sun most of that time with it on and it has not melted off my face .

The foundation looks very natural on.

This foundation did not break me out.

I think this is perfect for the summer if you want a good coverage foundation with SPF.

I'm personally going to buy another one at the CCO when this tube finishes.

Personally, wait for a sale to purchase this.

If you do purchase this product let me know your thoughts!!

What is your favorite summer foundation/tinted moisturizer? :)

  10. I'm wondering what my color match would be, I'm thinking about trying this one, I currently have the regular colorstay foundation for combo/oily skin. I normally have golden beige, but I'm using warm golden...although it's a little orange for me, but I haven't gotten dark enough 2 use natural tan. Which color would you think works from the mineral mousse line?

  11. I used Revlon ColorStay in 360 Golden Caramel in the winter...I used this foundation when I wasn't tan.

I'm not an expert at color matching but I can say that the color shown outside of the tube looks darker then what it comes out to..I hope this helps and let me know if you do purchase it
